David Harding's areas of effectiveness
David Harding specialises in turnaround management and business transformation.
His key competencies are change management, board stewardship, turnaround mentoring, turnaround coaching and playing an oversight role in turnaround and business transformation projects.
David Harding's background
David retired as Deputy Managing Director of African Explosives in 2001, where he was extensively involved in business transformation.
With 35 years' experience in this field, David has pioneered ways of working with consulting firms to provide sustainable business transformation and turnarounds both in SA and Europe.
His role as a transformation expert is the topic of a case study used in the UCT MBA program.
Prior to joining Corprenewal, he consulted to various organisations in SA. He also served as chair of a distressed company turnaround management consulting firm associated with an international consulting firm.
David is passionate about job preservation.
David was a member of the Advisory Group of the Task Group for Organising the Turnaround and Business Rescue Industries.
He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association - Southern Africa - Southern Africa. On 22 September 2005 he was elected Executive Director: Pro Bono Activities.
